The spreader is used to let young shoots grow between double wires. Once the shoots are long enough the wires are hung in fixtures on the post and the spreader is turned vertically so that it is out of the way of foliage treatment. Fixed with a screw to wooden posts.

The Hetfix is a moveable holder for double wires, to achieve a separation of 300-400mm. When the holder is unfolded, the wires are positioned downwards towards the growth allowing the young shoots to grow through the double wires and they are protected against damage from winds. The Hetfix is folded together when the shoots are long enough, and the wires are held in the fixing.
